What is the Summer Religious Education Program?
The Summer Program is an intensive (two weeks) Religious Education Program designed as an alternative model to the traditional weekly program. Each day your child will work on the grade level curriculum ( Finding God, Growing with God from Loyola Pres).
Children will also attend classes in art, music and Liturgy/Prayer. The summer program also offers opportunities to attend Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. All classes are in English.
When: July 14, 2025 – July 25, 2025
Monday to Friday 8:30am – 12:30pm
Where: St. Anthony of Padua Building
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be a registered parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua
- Grades levels available: 3,4,5 & 6 only
- Your child must be able to attend all 10 days
- No late arrivals or early dismissals
- You should attend Mass each week with your family
- You must attend 3 additional family events during the year
- Registration is on a first come first served basis
Mass, part of our lesson plan
All students will go to Church with their class for the 9am Mass. Father Oscar or Fr. Arian will do special homilies for our students. Parents and family members are invited to join the Mass.
Finding God
Grade level book ensuring that our children have a deep relationship with God, understanding their Catholic identity and fully embracing what prayer, mercy, and compassion truly mean.
Growing with God
Part of our curriculum is the inclusion of Child Safety and Family Life topics. Children will be empowered to respond to troubling and potentially dangerous situations. Some topics are: Building confidence, healthy relationships, Safe and healthy habits in online environments, etc.
What should my child bring each day?
- We will be providing a light snack for all students. Students can bring an additional snack as well
- Re-fillable water bottle.
- Text book
- Others materials if the catechist required (bible/worksheets/folder).
Attendance
Absences are Not allowed during the summer program. If you have plans that will interfere with attendance on any of the days of the summer program, please choose one of our other program options (Fall/ Homeschool).
Drop off / Pick up:
Students should be dropped off at the double door entrance farthest away from the Church facing the parking lot closest to the field. All students will go up to their classroom by themselves. We will have volunteers guiding them to their class. Pick up will be at 12:30pm in the Gym.
Students are NOT allowed to “self-dismiss”, except when prior written permission from the parent/guardian is on file with our office. 3rd and 4th grade must be picked up by a parent inside of the gym.
We ask that you drive cautiously through the parking lot. There is no parking in fire zones and there is a specific entrance and exit parking lot protocol.
Early Dismissal/Late Arrivals:
A child is expected to arrive on time 8:20am and remain until 12:30 pm dismissal each day. Late arrivals and early dismissals are not allowed in the summer program.
Dress Code:
Please dress your children comfortably, as they will be going outdoors at times. (No short shorts, no flip flops and no bare midriffs allowed).
Cell Phone Policy
Use of cell phones during class time is prohibited without permission from the catechist. The cellphone can be confiscated by the catechist or director of the program in case it is necessary.
Parents are the Primary Educators of the Faith
As the primary educators of your child’s faith, it is important that you make weekly Mass attendance a priority for your family. It is also important to reinforce what your child is learning in class as well as prayers throughout the year.
How can I register my child?
Register your child in the Religious Education Office during our regular office hours.
You can also download the Registration Form, Health Form and Self Dismissal Form and email them to viviana@stanthonyreligioused.org. Once we receive the forms, we will send an email confirming your child’s registration.

Fees: $125 for one student $220 for two students $305 for three students $60 for each additional above 3 Please note that the summer option is not available for Sacrament preparation years (Grades 1,2 & 7, 8). |

What happens after the summer program?
It is important that your child remains connected to the parish community after the summer program ends. Families are required to attend 3 additional parish events during the year and return a completed “Event Reflection Sheet” to our office. Keep an eye out for parish events and activities in our weekly newsletters.
We will also send you reminders throughout the year.
- Advent mass and Christmas tree lighting
- Holy Thursday and Eucharistic Procession
- Vigil of Pentecost dressed in red
- Other options will be obtained during the year.
